Words and Images by The Josh Craig
Last summer I met a group of young visionaries, led by Michael Weiss, who decided the future should be at our doorsteps. The future they were referring to was the future of The Worlds Fair and if the tech expo would ever be brought back to American soil. If you don't know what the Worlds Fair is, just google it. For short, it's a bunch of next-gen art, tech and music in one place. The music part is what brought me to The Bay.
At the WFN in NY I handled the music and DJ'd for about 5,000 people for 5 hrs. It kicked my ass but was a day I'll never forget. I spun a couple other parties for the WorldsFairUSA team then asked me why I don't just be the resident DJ for the team. I said "Whatever. Got nothing else as ridiculous as this to be apart of." Fast forward a few months and they flew me to California to for the next one. I was supposed to fly to San Fran but Oakland was cheaper, thankfully. For it's what got me to this story.
